Turquoise love! Review#2

I was super duper excited about Maybelline's new launch this summer! Another addition to the Colossal range!Yes, I am talking about none other than THE COLOSSAL KOHL TURQUOISE!

So, I bought one for myself( FINALLY!) and here are some pictures!

MY EXPERIENCE: Okay, so this liner( is how I use it, I have still not tried it on my lower lash line!) is a beautiful turquoise coloured  stick with undertones of green! What I really love about this is that it is a beautiful metallic blue and does not really contain chunky glitter particles! It looks beautifully metallic on the eyes and is great and bright for summers! It is quite pocket friendly( Though I wonder why it is INR 100 HIGHER THAN THE BLACK COLOSSAL!) I am a big, BIG fan of eyeliners, and this colour just adds up to my collection of personal favourites! HOWEVER, it is not as smooth as LAKME EYECONIC RANGE KAJALS and despite this, is quite easily breakable! Otherthan these two, it has an amazinggg colour payoff, and lasts pretty long!( umm ....not  12 hours though as it claims!)

What I really like about this is is PACKAGING! Its beautifuuly refreshing with lovely metallic letters and writing, infact its the best packaging till date of any kajal I have used!

Also Maybelline now attaches a silver holograph with NO.1 MAKEUP BRAND written on it( look closely in the picture above!) and I love it because its difficult to replicate and one can be quite sure that it is authentic!

SO TO SUM IT UP,

PROS:

1. AMAZINGGG PACKAGING!

2. GREAT TURQUOISE COLOUR!

3. QUITE POCKET FRIENDLY!

4.GOOD COLOUR PAYOFF!

5.SUITABLE FOR ALL SKIN TONES!

CONS:

1. NOT VERY SMOOTH

2. EASILY BREAKABLE!

3.NOT RECOMMENDED FOR VERY SMALL EYES!( IT MAKES THEM LOOK EVEN SMALLER!)

NEW LAUNCH! L'OREAL CANNES 2014

       Today I am going to talk about the newly launched collection by L'Oréal Paris called L'Or Lumiere!  Sonam Kapoor looked stunning in her gold Ellie Saab dress ( I secretly wish I owned it!:P)

      OKAY! So like I mentioned how I absolutely love, LOVE(*DROOLS*) her dress!Moving on to the collection, its the CANNES 2014 COLLECTION( L'OREAL IS THE OFFICIAL MAKE UP PARTNER)! I loved the nail paints from the previous year's CANNES COLLECTION( So much that I bought one shade! :P)

Okay, So I only love nail paints and eyeliners( the only 2 things I love applying!)

So though they launched many products, this is what i actually loved from this year CANNES COLLECTION!

WHICH KAAJAL STICK SHOULD I PICK? REVIEW#1

                  As described in my previous Sneak Peak I am  reviewing 3 different kaajal sticks!
The following are the kaajal sticks I am reviewing!

1. MAYBELLINE COLOSSAL KAAJAL.
2. LAKME EYECONIC KAAJAL: GREY.
3. LAKME EYECONIC KAAJAL:BROWN.

NOTE: SINCE I AM REVIEWING KAAJAL STICKS WHICH ARE OF DIFFERENT COLOURS, ITS NOT COMPARING! ITS JUST CHOOSING WHAT I PREFER!:P

Okay! So lets start!

1. MAYBELLINE COLOSSAL KAJAL( BLACK)

Does this kaajal really need a description? I know, I know it dosent! But here is how it goes!

CLAIMS BY MAYBELLINE :

• This deep black kajal creates smudge-free bold lines that last for up to 12 hours. Fortified with 5 enriching ingredients, Maybelline’s Colossal kajal not only beautifies your eyes, but soothes and nourishes them as well.
• Here’s why you’ll love it:

• • Color doesn’t smudge or fade
• • Enriched with nourishing ingredients and Vitamin E to soothe the eye

• PRICE: INR 175( 0.35 gms)

• WHAT I THINK: Well for INR 175, a waterproof, smudge free long lasting kaajal with an intense black colour! *PHEW* what more can I ask for? Its my personal favourite!
• 
  
• PROS:1. GREAT COLOUR.
•           2. SMUGDE PROOF.
•           3. 6 H STAY.
•           4. RETRACTABLE SO NO WASTAGE.
•           5. CHEAPER THAN MOST OTHER BRANDED KAAJALS.
• 
  
• CONS: 1. I PERSONALLY DONT REALLY LOVE THE PACKAGING!(EXCEPT THE LIMITED HEART VERSION THAT HAD COME IN FEW MONTHS AGO).
•           2. ONLY 6 H STAY! I WEAR MY KAAJAL FOR LONGER!( WE ALL DO RIGHT?)
•            
• MORE PROS THAN CONS? WELL, ISNT THAT GREAT?
•  RATING: 4/5( I CUT 1 FOR THE WEAR TIME ISSUES! PACKING UNLESS VERY BAD DOSENT COUNT!)

2.LAKME EYECONIC COLOUR KAAJAL!( GREY AND BROWN)

WHAT LAKME CLAIMS:
No smudge, waterproof, dermatologically tested, 10 hr stay!

PRICE: INR 250( COLOUR) INR 199(BLACK)

WHAT I THINK: WOW WOW WOW! I LOVE THEM! COLOUR TO MY EYES, I LOVE! OKAY SO HERE ARE SOME PICTURES I CLICKED WHEN I RECENTLY BOUGHT THE BROWN KAAJAL STICK( I HAD BOUGHT THE GREY WHEN IT LAUNCHED, LOVED IT AND PICKED THE BROWN!)

COLOURS I SWATCHED AT THE SHOP!

PROS:
            1. SO SO SMOOTH!
            2. GREAT COLOURS!
            3. NEW VARIETY!
          4. BROWN KAAJAL EASIER TO WEAR THAN BLACK ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU HAVE DARKCIRCLES!
            5. IT DOES STAY FOR TEN HOURS!

CONS:
   
       1. GREY KAAJAL WORN ON LOWER WATERLINE LOOKS A TAD OVERDONE (ATLEAST ON ME)
         2. CANNOT THINK OF ANY MORE!:P
COLOURS FROM THIS RANGE THAT DINT WORK FOR ME: BLUE, WHITE(LET ME TELL YOU SOME PEOPLE DROOL OVER IT! PERSONALLY, NOT A FAN!)

RATING: 4.5/5

AND THE WINNER IS..
LAKME  EYECONIC GREY!( Love,LOVE IT AS AN EYELINER!)
 NEXT ON MY LIST: DEFINITELY THE GREEN KAAJAL PENCIL!

TIP: WEAR BROWN KAAJAL AN EYESHADOW FOR SOFT BROWN SMOKEY EYES!
